Post 1952 QE II British Royal Artillery Officer’s Sword With Gilt Brass Hilt, Etched Blade By Wilkinson Sword With Leather Cord & Acorn Portepee & Scabbard With Leather Field Cover & Sam Browne Pattern Frog. Sn 16721 - 16721

This is an original British Royal Artillery Officer’s Sword and Scabbard. The Sword made post 1952 has a clean slightly curved, steel single edged blade which is 33” in length with central fullers (39 ½” overall). The blade is crisply etched with foliate panels on both sides together with ‘Crown E II R’ (Queen Elizabeth II Regina), heraldic arms and Royal Artillery devices . The ricasso is marked on one side by the manufacturer Wilkinson Sword, England with crossed swords legend and Royal appointment. It has a gilt brass voided bar knuckle guard and stepped pommel. The back strap is stippled for grip. The sword’s fish skin grip with wire binding is undamaged. Attached to the guard is its leather cord and acorn. The sword is complete with its leather bound wood field scabbard which is fitted with Sam Browne pattern leather frog which has buckles & straps. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 16721
