An excellent original Victorian Brown Malacca Sword Stick. It has a short, clean, 5 3/4", single edged 'Skean Dhu' blade which has a nicely scalloped back edge. Sheathed the sword stick measures 35" overall. The handle which is 10" in length has silver mounts which include a Birmingham 1890 Hallmarked Large Ornate Silver End Cap Incorporating The Arms Of The Argyll & Sutherland Highlander's, ferrule and central band with Shield Mount engraved to 'F. Clifton, Royal Engineers. The mounts are beautifully engraved with a foliate design. The Malacca scabbard is undamaged and has a brass throat insert and end cap.
