An unusual Mk3 snider carbine with a South African service stamp to the breech, the lock is Stamped TOWER and dated 1873. The rifle looks to have original bluing (although faded) to the lock and barrel and has brass hardware. The bore is lightly pitted, but still shiny.

This antique can be owned without a license under Section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968 providing it is kept as a “curiosity or ornament” providing it is not fired, if intended to be fired, the relevant license is required.
