A lovely original 1860's antique Tranter 54 bore Model 4 percussion pistol.
Retaining much of its original finish and retained by Robert S Garden at 200 Piccadilly London.
Good chequered grips.
This is a fairly large pistol, likely used as a private purchase officers pistol in the 1860-70 time period. Serious presence and looks absolutely fantastic in a cabinet.
Sold as an antique obsolete calibre curio/ornament under Section 58 GB, no license required though you must be 18+.
A small repair required to the cylinder shaft retention pin as its head has snapped off, it remains present, likely repairable or a replacement part would not be hard to have made. Little consequence for a display piece and quite common on these as they are a fairly repeatedly stressed component on 160 year old metal.
