Very Uncommon* Japanese ‘Arisaki Type 30’ Bayonet and Scabbard. BAYO 6267 Bayonet

This is a Japanese ‘Arisaka Type 30’ bayonet with hooked quillon made by ‘Aisan Kogyo Arsenal ( Nagoya Triangle)

(Aisan Industries Co.) The Type 30 bayonet , (sanjūnen-shiki jūken) was a bayonet designed for the Imperial Japanese Army to be used with the Arisaka Type 30 Rifle and was later used on the Type 38, Type 99 rifles and Types 96 and 99 light machine guns. The blade is blued and measures 15 ½ “(20” overall) with fullers and is marked to the ricasso with the three rings trademark of the ‘Aisan Kogyo Arsenal’. The blade appears to have been re sharpened. The grips are wooden (showing signs of age related wear) held by two screw bolts. The pommel is marked ‘78415’. The scabbard is a tipped metal version with only minimal marks.
