An original Zulu Large large knobkerrie War club. Knobkierie, also spelled knobkerrie, knopkierie or knobkerry, are clubs used mainly in Southern and Eastern Africa. Typically they have a large knob at one end and can be used for throwing at animals in hunting or for clubbing an enemy's head in battle. This knobkerrie is carved from Tropical hard wood tree from which it was carved and the knob is the heart wood of the tree. This heavy club measures 25 ¼” overal length. The club is in excellent condition, free of damage. The shaft has some faded with age native hand applied ink stripe decoration. The knob is 4" in diameter. The price includes UK delivery. W 672
