The name derives from the early origins of Policing when Warranted Officers would apprehend a criminal with the help if necessary of a tipped staff. This example measures 37.5cm and has been hand painted in polychrome with the Royal Crown, VR cypher (Victoria Regina) and Horton (Horton in Ribblesdale is a small village and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England.
