Wanzl Extra Korps Carbine Single Shot Obsolete Rifle

Wanzl Extra-Korps conversion carbine.

Obsolete Caliber / Section 58 in the UK.

Chambered in 14x33mm Wanzl and retaining original chambering. Previously I had written 11mm - this was incorrect I was getting mixed up.

This is quite a rare little piece, a factory carbine Extra Korps, which would have been issued to specialist units such as Engineers. Very hard to come across.

Twice issued, unit markings are present on butt plate upper and lower, lower markings are hard to fully read. I haven't researched the units.

Condition is honest and used, it is a long-service rifle. Some period repairs to wood work, missing front sling hook. Mechanically good, holds half/full cock, trigger works etc.

Competitively priced for such a rare piece. Perfect curio to own or to fill a slot in a historical collection. Looks great on the wall and not too big like some full length rifles.
