Enfidaville refers to the site of a key battle in the Tunisian Campaign of World War II, which was the last major engagement for the British Eighth Army in North Africa. The battle, fought from April 19–21, 1943, was an Allied offensive to break through strong German and Italian defences in rocky terrain. The fighting resulted in Enfidaville being captured. The town is also now home to the Enfidaville War Cemetery, which contains the graves of many Commonwealth soldiers who died in the North African campaign, as seen in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website. This is an original WW2 Afrika Korps (German: Deutsches Afrikakorps) cuff title reputedly captured DAK Prisoner of War soldier’s uniform by a named British soldier.
