Welcome to "Class Act" – The Ultimate Custom 1990 Weihrauch HW77 (.22 Full Length)

I know it's a bit of fun, but I give names to my best builds. As you can see from the photographs, this is no ordinary HW77. Built around a highly desirable 1990 MK3 full-length action, this rifle features the legendary and much sought-after 25mm internal architecture, sitting inside a genuinely breathtaking, exhibition-grade original MK1 stock.

The aesthetics speak for themselves (a classic, rich look with deep, swirling walnut-toned grain and custom solid brass detailing that will appeal to the discerning traditionalist), but the internal engineering is where this rifle truly shines.

Because this is an early 25mm action in .22, it already possesses the most efficient swept volume ever put into a sub-12 ft/lb springer, and we have taken those foundations to the absolute limit. Unlike builds where gliding is an afterthought, this rifle features both a glided and buttoned compression sleeve and a highly modified, glided, and custom-weighted piston (equipped with a red BritSeal). Metal-to-metal contact is completely eliminated, and the piston mass has been carefully balanced to push smoothly straight through the air cushion.

Power comes from a British F1 mainspring paired with bespoke, custom-fitted guides.

To take the shot cycle into another league entirely, we have fitted a dynamic-load, high-tensile thrust bearing to decouple the spring from the action. If you’ve never shot a full-length 77 where torsional recoil and spring twist have been eradicated, you are in for a revelation. The result is a spring gun with virtually zero lateral movement and a gentle firing cycle. It delivers an incredibly fast lock time without any harsh snappiness. It cocks like silk and shoots like electrified warm butter.

Over the chronograph, she is hyper-consistent and set to an optimal, legal-limit 11.8 ftlb using her most efficient pellets.

The Rekord trigger is a complete one-off. As shown in the build photos, every internal sear has been stripped, mirror-polished, and match-tuned over many hours to achieve a break you simply couldn't pay a commercial tuner to replicate. The pull weight is set to a crisp, repeatable 1lb, it breaks like glass.

The original MK1 exhibition-grade stock is even better in person than the pictures suggest. The grain figuring along the forend and pistol grip is stunning, and the rich finish contrasts beautifully with the deep, original West German factory bluing and solid brass hardware throughout.

No time or expense has been spared. I firmly believe this is one of the ultimate HW77s out there—combining the best latching mechanism, the best 25mm internals, and the best stock profile Weihrauch ever produced. You couldn't commission a rifle to this specification for the asking price.
