Description
British WD Wilkinson NCO’s Sword & Scabbard. ED 2527 - ED 2527
This is a very good original British NCO’s Sword & Scabbard. The Sword has a 32 ½” single edged blade with partial fullers (39 ½” overall). The blade is clean and undamaged. The ricasso is marked by the manufacturer 'Wilkinson'. The blade has WD ordnance inspection marks and date 4 ’03 (April 1903). It has a ¾ bowl guard with pierced design and ’Kings Crown ERVII’ (Edward VII Rex). The guard has WD inspection marks and 8 ’15 date (August 1915) indicating re-issue for WW1 use. Its fish skin grip with wire binding is tight and intact. The sword is complete with its steel scabbard which has 2 hanging rings and shoe. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2527.
