The King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) was an Infantry Regiment of the line of the British Army. It served under various titles from 1680 to 1959. Its lineage is continued today by the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment. At the beginning of WW1 the 1st Battalion landed in France with the 4th Division of the British Expeditionary Force. This is an original WW1 British Officer's Cuff Title Khaki Tunic to a Royal Lancaster Regiment Lieutenant with breeches . The Tunic is single breasted with open collar, pleated chest pockets and plain lower pockets with flaps. The tunic has all of it's original brass Regimental buttons and metal Regiment lapel badges. The embroidered cuff rank insignia are all correct and undamaged. There are no maker or size labels on the Tunic. The Tunic is clean with just areas of service wear. It is approx UK size 34" Chest. The ¾ length breeches meant to be worn with long boots are clean. The breeches have all of the their buttons correct leather knee pads and leather laces at the leg hems. The breeches have hip pockets. The material is clean with just light areas of service wear. The breeches are approx. 30” waist and the inside leg is approx. 22” length.
