WW1 Imperial German Model 84/98 Bayonet by E. & F. Hörster & Co. Solingen & Scabbard Reworked Post WW1 for Police Issue. BAYO 368 Bayonet

This is an excellent German 1920/30s rework of a WW1 issue S84/98 bayonet for issue to the police in the Weimar-era of post war Germany. The bayonet was made by E. & F. Hörster & Co. Solingen and bears their mark on the ricasso. The spine of the blade bears the Police eagle mark stamped near the hilt. The scabbard is stamped RICH.A.HERDER 5574 and is in excellent condition with no dents. Both the bayonet and scabbard retain all their original blued finish and the wooden grips are undamaged.
