This is a Nazi German K98 infantry rifle made by Erma at the Erfurter Maschinenfabrik arsenal in Erfurt. The rifle has a turned down bolt and safety catch. The rifle has an adjustable rear sight, block & blade fore sight, bayonet bar, steel butt plate and cleaning rod. There is also a forward sling bar with the stock slotted for a sling anchor. The wooden stock is in excellent condition with only minor marks from service use. The top of the breech is stamped 27 (Erma) 1939 (date). the barrel has several waffenampts on both sides of the barrel and breech including the serial number 7293.
