The 75mm M48 High Explosive Round was widely used during World War II, particularly in the M4 Sherman tank. This is an WW2 DRILL high explosive round for the Sherman M4 tank. The round has a brass body with a steel base at the rim of the round for serviceability and is fitted with a hollow steel M59 Drill fuze. The Drill M59 fuze is stamped on the side .FUZE.DUMMY.M59 and has a delay select screw on the side. The round is very heavy to represent the net weight of the round. The round was used in the M4 Sherman and M3 Grant tanks.
