This is an original WW2 era Imperial Japanese Army Alloy Water Bottle. It measures 7" in diameter. It retains much of its original green paint and original stopper with lanyard loop. It is complete with original webbing carrier with shoulder strap. The webbing has period ink Japanese kanji which is translated in a note that accompanies the sword as ‘Maruyama (Name) 143 Yanagibashi (Town) Tochigi (City), most likely the name and address of the Japanese soldier who was issued with this canteen.
