This is a good example of a Model M30 Gas Mask and Canister, complete with its harness in which is also in very good condition. The M30 gas mask is in the standard black rubber with cloth covered, rubberised canvas. The metal fittings have been painted in a tan colour for tropical use. The filter is complete and stamped with a makers code “FE” and 42 date on the filter. The is complete with a sheet metal construction GM38 carrying canister with canvas carrying strap. It has been painted in the standard green feldgrau paint with a topcoat of light grey. The GM30 uses a 6-point head harness. The mask mainly stayed the same throughout the years; only the valve house changed. The first model has a simple valve house with a slightly separated intake screw part. The second one is the most well-known one, where the exhale and the inhale are in one flat plain. This update was implemented because the valve was soiled quickly, and the soldiers hit their front teeth while falling. The pair are in very good overall condition. The price includes UK delivery.
