RFD. by Gunstar is the complete dealer management system for UK Registered Firearms Dealers. Built by Gunstar, it has been open to dealers since 22/09/2026.
RFD. starts with a digital firearms and ammunition register, built strictly around UK firearms law. Everything else, from the till to stock control to advertising, reads from that same record. The idea is one gun, one record, start to finish. A gun is booked in once, and it does not need to be keyed in again to sell it, advertise it or report on it.
The Digital Register is free
It helps dealers stay legally compliant. It covers:
- firearms and ammunition registers, with contacts and certificates
- repairs, storage and consignments
- RFD-to-RFD transfers
- the register exported as CSV or PDF at any time
Recording a sale or a disposal, and raising the police notification, is free whatever plan a dealer is on.*

Where a certificate or licence is required, every sale and disposal raises a Form 11 to the buyer's issuing police force. It is raised at the sale, tracked against the seven-day window and kept on the record.
For inspections, Inspection Mode gives an inspector a read-only view, and the Inspection Pack puts the records together ready to show.
RFD. was built working with multiple police forces. Every UK police force except Northern Ireland's has confirmed it is happy to receive notifications from it.
Built to sell
Dealers who want more can add to it:
Shop: A point-of-sale till, products and inventory, stock takes, sales history with emailed receipts, and invoicing. A sale at the till updates the register, the receipt and product stock together.
Insights: Everything in Shop, plus financial reports, margin and VAT reporting, and stock analytics.
Gunstar Broadcasting: Dealers advertise stock on Gunstar straight from the register, and sold guns come down on their own. This allows dealers to get there stock in front of thousands of buyers.

Safe, and ready for the whole team
Each dealership's register is held on Cloudflare infrastructure in Western Europe, encrypted in transit and at rest, with automatic 30-day backups. Each dealership's data is kept separate, and a dealer can export everything and leave at any time. Services such as email delivery are run by named sub-processors.
Records are never overwritten. A correction is a new entry with the full history kept, and every entry is attributed to a user. Records are kept for the 5 years required and stored for up to 20.
Owners, staff and inspectors have their own roles. Owners set permissions for each member of staff, and RFD. signs users out automatically when they are idle. It is built mobile-first and runs in the browser, so it works on a phone in a pocket as well as on the shop computer.
Getting started
A dealer signs up by creating an account. Once approved, a dealer can be set up the same day and be recording their first sale on the register shortly after.
Dealers with existing records can import their contacts, firearms and ammunition from the RFD. template. The team also works with each dealer to get existing logbooks into the right format and recommends the quickest route in.
Once registered, a dealer can book a walkthrough demo of up to 45 minutes from the sign-up confirmation page.
