An original French Model 1822 Arsenal Dragoon Cavalry pistol. Many of these pistols were carried by Confederate troops in the American Civil war supplied by their French allies. This French Dragoon pistol has a Walnut Stock with regulation brass fittings. The all original stock has bumps & bruises to be expected with age and use. The action plate is faintly arsenal signed ‘Manufactures St Etienne’. The pistol has an 8” sighted barrel. The barrel’s smooth bore has staining and residue consistent with age and use. The pistol has an iron ramrod. The pistol cocks and dry fires with a strong action. The pistol’s brass cudgel butt has an iron military lanyard ring. The price includes UK delivery.
