I'm selling a really interesting antique North Africa / Middle Eastern camel whip with a hidden steel stiletto dagger.
It's made of leather and wood, with lovely traditional geometric bone and wood marquetry with mother of pearl inlay in the wooden shaft.
I think the outer body is probably much older than the steel blade.
These were popular tourist items since the 1920s.
The handle unscrews to reveal the concealed square-profile stiletto spike.
And sadly the braided leather end has split and is nearly gone.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.
It measures 32 cm long, the blade is 17 cm long and nicely decorated.
All the inlay is present, with no missing pieces.
This is a very collectable vintage/antique concealed weapon, ideal when travelling across long deserts or through crowded bazaars.
Thanks for looking and i'm always open to reasonable offers.
I will pack it very carefully and will post via royal mail 24-hr tracked.
