A very fine Cased Pair Of Percussion Muff Pistols with some accessories, by DOOLEY of LIVERPOOL. Circa 1845. The pistols with nickel silver engraved frames and finely chequered walnut grips. Each pistol has a folding trigger and both are engraved with the makers names to the side-plates. Very nice overall condition with silver escutcheons fitted into the stocks. The original leather travelling case is fitted to hold various accessories and is complete with a small copper powder flask, an iron bullet mould, a turn-screw and a barrel wrench. This is the first cased set of percussion pistols we have seen made by this gun-maker. Pistols are five inches in length. Overall size of case is 8 x 4 x 2 inches.
