Early 19thC. 50 bore percussion pocket pistol, by renowned London gunsmith Samuel Nock (nephew of Henry Nock) 1.75" turn-off barrel, action scroll engraved and inscribed on one side 'S.Nock' and on other side 'London'., with folding trigger, thumb slide safety, finely chequered hard dark wood( possibly ebony) bag shaped grip, with inset silver wrist escutcheon bearing family crest and motto, of a Stag and the motto 'Mea Gloria Fiddes'. There are proof marks on the underside of the frame.
The hammer is good in half and full cock and the folding trigger folds down when required and fires on full cock.
