On second-hand guns, inspect the action, stock and barrel walls for wear, pitting or damage. If you are uncertain, ask a registered firearms dealer (RFD) to examine it before purchase.

Completing the transfer

Both buyer and seller must hold valid certificates for the transaction. Record the buyer's SGC details and keep a copy of the transaction. Many buyers and sellers choose to complete the transfer through an RFD for added peace of mind.
