Shoots GREAT.
Rare model.
please note:
The old Diana Series 70 rifles often had a thin outer barrel sleeve/cocking tube over the actual rifled barrel.
The thin outer barrel spins but the inner barrel stays fixed
the foresight stays aligned,
the gun still locks up normally,
and only the outer sleeve spins,
so the inner barrel itself is probably still fixed correctly
Usually on these:
the sleeve was secured by friction, adhesive, a hidden pin, or a small retaining screw near the breech or muzzle.
after 50 years, the bond can fail and the sleeve rotates freely.
The good news:
those old Diana rifles are usually very well made internally, and a spinning sleeve is a known age-related issue rather than “the barrel is ruined.” so you can use the gun as normal.
