Here we have an absolute beauty of a bayonet and one of the earliest that has crossed our doors, this fine bayonet is of museum level quality and finish in shockingly close to mint condition for its three hundred plus years of age.
This bayonet is triangular in form with a cutting and false edge with a nice thick spine tapering to a point. The fittings are made of brass and the pommel and the tips of the quillons form small cherubic figures. This was obviously the bayonet of a wealthy man.
This sword is marked with the Kings head which is the makers mark of Wundes Johanness.
~ Dimensions ~
The bayonet is 17.5 inches (45 cm) long.
The blade is 12 inches (30 cm) long.
The bayonet weighs 315g.
~ Condition ~
Aside from one small crack in the grip, the bayonet is in near-mint condition.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £15, international at cost and it can be viewed in our shop.
