A WW2 Far East British Far East Fighting knife and black leather scabbard. These knives were personal weapons bought privately by British Soldiers operating in the Far East. This knife most likely made in India was obviously bought privately for military use. It has a 9 1/4" single edged blade which is clean and undamaged. It has a plated handle and wood grips. It measures 13 1/2" overall. It has a scabbard retaining clip which functions as it should. The scabbard is dark wood with plated locket which has a fixed belt bar and chape with ball end. The scabbard is faintly hand etched on the back surface ' N.Lloyd' with service number possibly '7021014' and '5th Para 4 Brigade'.
