The butt inlaid with silver wire decoration, flowers and silver leaves. The rear of grip with a silver escutcheon. The side plates engraved with floral motifs. Fitted with a top sliding safety catch. The barrel approximately 1.5 inches long. Drop down concealed folding trigger. Action in working order. Birmingham proof marks to underside of frame and barrel. Calibre approx .45 Cal. The pistol still retaining all of the silver decoration, generally in good condition. A very attractive English pistol of obvious quality. Circa 1840. Ref 3671.
