Made by J TARRATT of London and engraved with the makers name and city on top. Dated 4th July 1837. The pistols both have a long nickel silver plaque inset into the butt, each one inscribed "PRESENTED TO OLIVER POWELL BY THE MEMBERS OF THE 1ST COMP. NASAU GUARDS. BROOKLYN. JULY 4TH 1837." Overall length 11 inches. Good condition and in working order. Ref 9304.
