Nice condition, includes original instructions and WEBOIL notice
. SHOOTS GREAT.
This is an early/mid‑1980s example with the desirable metal rear sight, WEBLEY AND SCOTT LTD frame marking, and Birmingham proof marks (F in pentagons). A proper British‑made Tempest — not the later Turkish production.
Condition
All‑metal construction (except grips & trigger guard, as standard)
Strong spring, shoots exactly as a Tempest should
Metal rear sight (correct for early/mid‑80s models)
Original grips in good condition
No cracks, no damage, no bodges
Clean example, well looked after, SLIGHT TARNISH ON BARREL.
Some scratches under the front where he must have rested it for shooting, see photos.
Markings
WEBLEY AND SCOTT LTD
Made in England
Birmingham proof marks (F in pentagons)
Fore‑end stamped on both sides
No serial number (correct — Tempests were never numbered)
Based on features and markings, this Tempest is 1983–1985 Birmingham production — one of the better‑built periods with metal sights and classic Webley finish.
