This is an original William IV era Painted Police Truncheon. The Ebonised wood is hand painted on the front and back aspects with Crown above WR & 4 decreasing lines denoting (IV) (William IV Rex). The truncheon also features a red painted top section and red band in the grip area. Its original gilt, red and blue/green colours are vivid. The truncheon measures 21 ¼” overall length.
