Driven Game Shooting is a traditional form of fieldsport which usually involves quite a large team, making it a really sociable day out. You'll have a group of shooters waiting at their pegs, whilst a selection of beaters and gundogs out in front will push through fields and woodland areas to stir up nearby gamebirds; forcing them into the shooters' line of sight. The shot game - usually pheasants, partridges or grouse - will be collected by gundogs and put into the bag.
Participants will use shotguns for most driven game days, but sometimes rifles when targeting animals such as boar or deer.
