A very rare boxed second series .177 Calibre A.G Parker ‘Parker Patent Precision Air Pistol’
Made in Birmingham circa 1921 by A.G Parker Company Ltd.
This particular models serial number is 216 one of a very low production run of only few hundred.
This pistol is in very good original condition with the etched patents clearly visible. These etched markings often wore away overtime if the pistol wasn’t oiled after use so having these clearly visible after over 100 years is remarkable.
Etched on the left side of the cylinder is ‘Hale & Harris Patent No 13011 Makers A.G. Parker& Co Limited, Birmingham, England’
To the right side is etched ‘The Parker Patent Air Pistol Precision No1 Bore .177 Calibre’
The blueing is in excellent order overall with only minor blemishes and fading on areas subject to most handling handling.
The wooden grips are complete.
The serial number 216 is stamped onto various components.
The crank mechanism is functional and the pistol fires without issue.
It comes with its original cardboard packaging box which is made of stout cardboard with a leatherette finish. It is showing signs of wear mainly to the lid where the lid flaps are missing but otherwise its all complete. The inside of the lid has pasted the instructions for the use of the pistol. To have the original box for one of these pistols as extremely rare as these and many other pistol boxes were often discarded over the years.
Inside is an original unopened box of ‘Improved Bulldog No1 Bore’ Pellets in themselves a rare collectable item. These were available to buy when the pistol was made so are a great addition.
This is an excellent example of this very scarce British made Air Pistol and now well over 100 years old.
