An original German WW1 Mauser 'Butcher Bayonet' complete with scabbard. The bayonet has 9 groove undamaged wooden grips which are secured with two bolts. It has a push button spring release which operates as it should. The crossguard has no muzzle ring. The back of the blade is stamped with an inspection mark. The single edged polished steel blade has a makers stamp on the ricasso " H.Kaufman & Sohne India Werk Solingen". The fullered blade measures 14 1/2" long, it gradually widens from being 1" wide at the ricasso to just over 1 1/4" wide at it's widest point. The blade is in very good condition. The scabbard is leather with steel locket & chape. All leather & stitching is intact. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2221
