A WW1 German G98 Sawback Butcher Bayonet and Scabbard. The bayonet has a single edged blade which widens towards the point. The back has a sawback edge. It has a central fuller. The ricasso is stamped on the ricasso "Waffen Fabrik MAUSER AG" . The blade edge at the ricasso is stamped with "W" and a makers mark. The bayonet has a steel swept quillon. The quillon is stamped on the side with "4355" and "K". The bayonet has 9 groove dark wood grips and secured which are secured with bolts. It has a steel pommel and backstrap.
