MATCHING NUMBERS, WW2 1942 Nazi German K98 Mauser 1884/98 Bayonet By ASW (E & F Hoerster Solingen) Scabbard & Leather Frog. Sn 10100

This is an excellent & original model 1884/98 matching numbers German Mauser bayonet for K98 rifles. The bayonet has grooved undamaged bakelite grips and is stamped on the ricasso by the maker, 'asw 42' which is the Nazi German wartime code for E & F Hoerster, Solingen and 1942 date. The reverse is stamped number '3350a'. The pommel is crisply waffenamt 'WaA51'. It has its original steel scabbard with matching number at the throat. The scabbard has just a couple of minor dents consistent with age and service use. The tear drop end of the scabbard is waffenamt '519'. It has a very good original rivetted, black leather frog with belt loop. all stitching & leather of the frog is intact. The rear of the frog has very faint unreadable impressed letters and numbers.
