An original German made Model AR-10 knife bayonet combination tool made by Interarmco for use on the 7.62 mm. NATO caliber Armalite AR10 assault rifles produced for Sudan in 1958, by the firm Artillerie Inrichtingen (Artillery Institutions) in the Netherlands. This knife bayonet is complete with the folding tool set that fits into the hollow hilt which is stamped on the inside with "PAG 4774". The double edged 7 3/4" blade still has its factory edge and approx. 85% of it's original black paint as can be seen in the photgraphs. It also retains the leather washer that prevents rattling in the scabbard. The ricasso is stamped with "556" on one side and "Interamco Reg. Pat. Germany" on the other side. The composite hollow grips are brown with three retaining bolts, and there is a spring loaded bayonet release tad which operates correctly. The grips hold a combination tool which is released by pushing a sprung catch, the combination tool has a cork screw, a bottle opener, a screw driver and one other tool. The scabbard is brown composite with a metal insert which is screwed to to the top. The metal insert also incorporates a metal belt hook which is sprung. Low production numbers and long service in Africa have made surviving specimens of this bayonet scarce. The bayonet and scabbard are in very good undamaged condition, the price includes Uk delivery.
