Late 18th Century, British Land Pattern Socket Bayonet For The Flintlock Brown Bess Musket. Sn 12788 - 12788

This is a late 18th Century British "Brown Bess" socket bayonet for the Brown Bess musket. It has a 17" long blade which is in very good condition. The socket measures 4" long and the muzzle ring diameter is 25mm, (see a very similar example in Skennerton's Bayonet Book, page 40, bottom illustration). The blade has a very faint not legible mark on the blade. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 12788
