The American knife manufacturer Case made a range of US Military contract and private purchase weapons for the American Armed Forces during WW2. This is an original private purchase Case Stilleto ‘Sticking Knife’. These knives by Case known as ‘Pig Stickers’ were used by American cattle farmers and frequently bought as private purchase weapons by US soldiers (see page 72 of US Military knives by M.H Cole). This original example has a 6 ½” double edged spearpoint dagger blade with medial ridge which is undamaged with just light staining consistent with age and incorporates a small finger guard which is stamped by the manufacturer ‘CASE’. The correct slab wood grips have grooved panels and are secured by the correct 3 rivets. The dagger is complete with original black leather scabbard with riveted and stitched edges, belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 11298
