This is a very good original Victorian era Police Shako. The Shako has a blue serge covering with a broad stitched headband and patent leather visor and neck guard. The front of the Shako is mounted with its original Victorian metal Cheshire Constabulary cap badge with correct mounting lugs to the rear. The rear and left & right sides of the Shako have ringed vent holes. The Shako is complete with its leather sweatband and manufacturer’s paper label ‘Christy’s London’, together with original white ink stores code ‘236/23’. The Shako is approx.
