A very rare boxed ‘Titan’ mark 7 .177 Calibre Air Pistol Manufactured circa 1923 – 1926 by Frank Clark in Birmingham, England.
This is the ‘mark 7. variant which has a 6.8″ inch barrel with the front sight cast onto the barrel, vulcanite grips with ‘T’ monogram within a circle located above the retaining screw.
The pistol is stamped ‘The Titan Air Pistol’ over the stamped Patent 110999/17.
It is in original condition and retains a good proportion of its original blued finish.
It is fully functioning although not very powerful.
It come with its original and incredibly rare cardboard packaging box. It is complete although one corner has opened on the lid and there a few small holes likely caused by darts fired into the box but to have the original packaging for a pistol nearly 100 years old is a real bonus. This exact pistol also features in ‘The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols (second edition) by John Griffiths. There are only a very few boxed examples known so this is a great collectable example.
