A WW1 Imperial German model 1898/05 butcher sawback bayonet with sawback officially removed, manufactured by Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche complete with metal scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet has a single edged blade which widens towards the point. It's saw back blade has been officially removed. The ricasso is stamped by the manufacturer "Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche". The spine of the blade is stamped with manufacturers stamps. The reverse of the ricasso is stamped with "Schubert Saltzer Maschinenfabrk Chemnitz". The blade measures 14 1/2" long and is clean. The bayonet has a steel swept quillon, correct 9 groove wood grips and steel pommel. It is complete with original metal scabbard and brown leather frog. Price includes UK delivery.
