This 'Last Ditch' Japanese bayonet was made in the last stages of WW2 when Japan's resources were stretched. Bayonets made at this time had plain single edged blades and were manufactured without quillon. They were also supplied with wood scabbards instead of the early war steel versions. The bayonet has wood grips, riveted on, a plain pommel and a crossguard with muzzle ring & without hooked quillon. It has a blued single edged blade with crisp Japanese Script manufacturer marks at the ricasso which is Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under Nagoya supervision. The wood scabbard is undamaged and has steel chape, throat mount and 2 steel bands in the mid section. Price includes UK
