WW1, early production 1909 dated hook quillon '07' sword bayonet by Wilkinson, complete with original scabbard. The sword bayonet has a 17" polished steel single edged blade which is stamped on the ricasso on one side with the 'GR' stamp and "1907 5 09 Wilkinson" (May 1909) On the other side it is stamped with inspection marks. The bayonet is fitted with a hook quillon which incorporates a muzzle ring. The grips are smooth dark wood secured with two screw bolts. The pommel is stamped with "E. SR. R. 364" (East Surrey Regt.) It is complete with a matching, excellent original steel mounted leather scabbard. All the stitching and leather of the scabbard is intact. The upper mount is stamped with "WJM."
