An excellent 14 1/2" long, English Bowie hunting knife & Scabbard. It has black Buffalo Horn Scales & nickel plated mounts and crossguard. The outer edges of the grip including the rounded pommel are highly decorated with a Stylised Tutonic Cross & Banner 'voided' design with nickel plated waved outer edges. One scale is inlaid with a void narrow nickel plated disc. The cross guard is stamped with crossed keys trademark. It has a clean 10" single edged, spear point steel blade, marked by the manufacturer 'John Nowill & Sons, Sheffield, England" together with crossed keys trademark. The brown leather scabbard has an integral belt loop and has deeply impressed Eagle with banners and arms device to the front and Coat of Arms to the rear of the belt loop.
