This an excellent large calibre flintlock pocket pistol made or retailed by R.Horton London. It is 8” overall length and has a 2 ½” screw off barrel (the underside of the barrel has a lug for tool to turn off the barrel. We do not have the tool). This man stopper pistol is 15mm at the muzzle (approx. 22 bore). The barrel’s smooth bore has just staining consistent with age and use. The underside of the frame has crisp proof marks. It's action is decorated on both sides, one side with Martial banners & arms and is signed ‘R.Horton’ within panel. The other side has Martial banners & arms and is signed ‘London’ within panel . The action has a sliding safety bolt to the rear of the Swan neck hammer which is fitted with flint. It has its undamaged original bag shaped wood grip. The grip is inlaid with a void silver escutcheon. It has a folding trigger & the weapon cocks and dry fires as it should. The price includes UK delivery.
