A rare American single shot percussion target pistol with a spur trigger guard and saw handle grip. Circa 1840. Nickel silver trigger guard and butt cap engraved with a floral design. Approx .45 calibre. 8 inch multi-grooved rifled barrel with a V rear sight and nickel silver front sight. Decorative lock-plate and trigger guard. Overall length 13 inches. In good working order. Replacement ramrod, old crack through the wood stock underneath the lock, otherwise in very good condition. Ref 1519. This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collectors item only.
