The frame is finely engraved with floral decoration and the name MATHEWS KENDALL is engraved on the top strap. Drop down concealed trigger. The finely grooved turn-off barrel approx 2 inches long. Silver inlaid decorative grip. Oval escutcheon engraved with T. T. COCK (could be the original owner's initials and town, Cock possibly being an abbreviation for the town of Cockermouth in Cumbria). Lions head embossed nickel silver butt cap. Two British proof marks stamped under the breech and barrel. Action in very crisp working order. Overall length 6 inches.
