WW2 Era U.S. Navy Mark 1 Utility / Fighting Knife Marked ‘RH-35 PAL Made In USA’ & Correct U.S.N. MK 1 Grey Plastic Scabbard By BM Co & VP. Sn 13146 - 13146

This is an original WW2 era USN Mark 1 utility / fighting knife (see page 75 of the book ‘U.S Military Knives by Cole’). This example is in very good condition with just the service wear to be expected. The grip is constructed of the correct compressed laminated leather washers with correct short finger guard and alloy pommel. It has a 5 ¼” bowie blade stamped on one side ‘RH 35’ with ‘PAL’ logo in between and ‘Made In USA’. The other side is stamped ‘USN Mark 1’. It is complete with its original correct grey plastic scabbard with integral riveted webbing belt loop. The throat mount is stamped on one side ‘USN MK1’ & the reverse ‘NORD-8114’ and ‘BM Co’ (Beckwith Manufacturing Company), also ‘1/4’ together with ‘VP’ (Victory Plastics).
