18thC (1760-1770) 54 bore flintlock pocket pistol, with 2.5" turn-off barrel, engraved on the locks 'Ryan and Watson' and on other side a stand off arms and 'London, with proof marks on underside of frame. Action is good, hammer working in full and half cock, firing on full cock. With thumb slide safety. Ryan & Watson were renowned gunsmiths in their day and responsible for the first British double barrel, over'n' under flintlock with tap-action for barrel selection.
