This is a Mauser rifle bayonet imported by Siam (now Thailand). It has an overall length of 14 ½”and a blade length of 9 ¾”. The blade carries Thai script which translates to ‘RS121’. This indicates production in the 121st year of the Chakri Dynasty or 1902 in the Gregorian calendar. These bayonets were made in Japan for Siam (see pages 214 & 215 of the book ‘An Illustrated History Of Bayonets by Brayley’. The grips are wood held by 2 rivets. The scabbard is all steel and also has Siamese script to the mouth piece (all script illustrated). Price includes UK delivery. BAYO 246
